Regarding this rifle, my recommendation is that you can’t find a 1903 barrel and receiver (the main metal part) for $25. A Driller could build a less expensive rifle by buying one of these and adding a BFR or Daisy stock and then adding all of the bands and swivels as well. This is an excellent starter rifle that would need some work- but you would start off ahead of the game by saving around $75 initially.
