I will answer this from the standpoint of you most likely being a JROTC cadet, most likely a first year student.

The short answer: Read, master the basics first, and everything else is built on that.

Read you service drill and ceremonies manual.
You can branch out and read my articles on all kinds of topics.
      Master unarmed regulation drill.
      Master armed regulation drill.
Progress into exhibition drill by asking a cadet who is already on the team to help you. If unarmed or armed, start slowly and build. If armed, you want to get familiar with the rifle and how it feels when you spin. Start with simple movements, master those and move on to learn more in the same manner.

If you want to get better:

      Learn the standard
      Practice slowly and correctly
      Be consistent
      Build control before complexity

Do that, and everything else—especially exhibition—will come much easier.
