How to contact each service’s honor guard:
Each year the service drill teams tour the country and attend ceremonies overseas. Many times the drill teams will make a trip out to see your community if they have enough time and funding. Here is how to request the teams and other* ceremonial support.
*If you live near or relatively near a military installation, contact their honor guard and see how they can be of assistance.
FYI: as of 1990, Congress authorized all veterans a military funeral. This does not mean every veteran receives a 3-Volley Salute (mistakenly called a 21-Gun Salute), bugler and 6-Man Flag Fold, but it does mean that at least one representative will be at the service to provide a folded flag to the next-of-kin. Contact your local military installation or funeral director for further details.
