Merritt Island AJROTC Color Team and Space Shuttle Atlantis

This is a picture of “my” students from Merritt Island High School AJROTC escorting the Space Shuttle Atlantis to it’s final stop at the Cape here in Florida. What an honor for the cadets! The Crawler, the machine that carries the Shuttle, moves so slowly that the color team and the band had to march extremely slowly. Quite a difficult task at the time, but they all loved being a part of the ceremony!
